Cookie Notice
- Konqua uses one sign-in cookie and some browser storage to run the app.
- PostHog, our analytics service, also saves an ID in your browser so it can tell visits apart.
- No advertising cookies and no ad trackers. If you clear your browser data, you’ll be signed out, and a guest account can be lost.
1. What these are
Cookies are small files a website saves in your browser. Browser storage (localStorage) works in a similar way but stays on your device and isn’t sent to us automatically. We use them to run the app and, through PostHog, to understand how it’s used.
2. Our cookies
- tt_session (needed): keeps you signed in if your browser clears its storage. It is only sent to our own servers, page scripts can’t read it, and it lasts 90 days or until you sign out.
- ph_…_posthog (analytics): a random ID PostHog uses to recognise your browser between visits and link your session recordings, kept as a cookie and in browser storage for up to a year.
3. What we keep in browser storage
- tt_token: your sign-in, so every app on the phone knows it’s you
- tt_settings: game settings like controls, sound, graphics and voice
- tt_phone and tt_phone_seen: wallpaper, light or dark mode, and which notifications you’ve seen
- tt_phone_app, tt_resume and tt_chats_tab: where you left off, so the app reopens there
- tt_unlocked: whether the lock screen is open
- tt_signup_prompted: whether we’ve already asked you to save your account
- tt_ref: who invited you, until you create an account
- tt_visitor: a random ID used only to count how many browsers visit each day
4. Other companies
PostHog runs our analytics and session recordings, as described in the Privacy Policy. Its script loads from PostHog’s servers in the EU, which receive your IP address and browser details.
Our fonts are served from our own servers, so no font company sees your visit.
Ads in Konqua are served by us, not by ad networks, so no ad company tracks you here. When you tap Visit on an ad, the advertiser’s website opens with tags telling them the visit came from Konqua. That site may set its own cookies under its own policy.
5. Your choices
You can block or delete cookies and site data in your browser settings, or block PostHog with a content blocker; Konqua keeps working without analytics. If you delete Konqua’s own data, you’ll be signed out, your phone settings will reset, and a guest account can be lost for good. Create an account first so you can sign back in.
6. Changes and contact
If we start using any other cookies, we’ll update this notice and ask for your consent where the law requires it. For more on how we handle your data, see the Privacy Policy. Questions, requests or complaints? Email us at use.konqua@gmail.com. We aim to reply within 30 days.
